         · LUPIT(RAMIL) has rapidly intensified...now classified as a Super Typhoon, with 1-min. avg winds of 240 km/hr...still heading ENE across the Philippine Sea.
*Residents and visitors along Luzon (Northern Philippines) should closely monitor the progress of LUPIT (RAMIL).

*Kindly refer to your local warnings & bulletins issued by your country's official weather agency. This advisory is intended for additional information purposes only.
Forecast Outlook: LUPIT is expected to slow down further for the next 24 hours, as the influence of the mid-level low pressure trough off Japan on this system dissipates. The 2 to 5-day Long-Range Forecast shows LUPIT returning back to its Westward path, as the High Pressure Steering Ridge building off China strengthens and moves across east of Taiwan. This ridge will steer LUPIT into Extreme Northern Luzon & South China Sea from Tuesday until Friday (Oct 19-23), reaching the Category 5 treshold strength (250 kph). LUPIT shall pass very close to the coastal beach front areas of Northern Cagayan and Ilocos Norte, with a close approach of about 5 to 15 km. to the north of Pagudpod, Ilocos Norte on Thursday afternoon, Oct 22nd. *Alternate Forecast Scenario: There is a possibility that LUPIT might do a clockwise loop and track more WSW-ward than forecasted with a strike across Northern or Central Luzon. Please be reminded that the Forecast Outlook changes every 6 hours, so a shift to the left or right of its future track and other conditions must be considered.
Effects: LUPIT's large circulation has become more impressive, w/ a 40-km. slightly irregular Eye. Its outer & inner rain bands remains at sea...not affecting any major islands at this time. Richard Gutierrez rescues Cristine Reyes

“Patient X” star Richard Gutierrez has rescued his leading lady Cristine Reyes from the floods using a speedboat he borrowed from his friend.

Cristine and members of her family who were staying with her in Provident Village, Marikina City, were stranded on the roof for 12 hours beginning Sept. 26 around 1 p.m.

Richard gave an account of how he traversed the murky waters in Provident Village in order to reach Cristine.

“Bawat kanto may kable. There was a point na babangga kami ng bahay dahil sa lakas ng alon. Hindi na ma-control ‘yung speedboat. Kinailangan kong tumalon sa tubig para tadyakan yung pader ng bahay para hindi kami mabangga. Hinarang ko yung sarili ko dahil baka kapag bumangga kami (ay) magtuluy-tuloy kami sa loob ng bahay at hindi na kami makalabas,” he said in an exclusive interview aired on “Showbiz Central,” Sept. 27.

Because it was so dark, Richard relied on Cristine’s multi-colored light source to locate her. Once there, the actor had the boat tied to a tree and he himself went to get the actress.

“Dumaan ako sa bubong ng second floor nila. Si Cristine naman, dumaan siya dun sa kuwarto niya. Binuksan niya ‘yung bintana at tinanggal ‘yung mga salamin. Sinalo ko siya galing sa bintana doon sa bubong, then sabay kaming bumaba sa speedboat.”

Prior to Cristine’s rescue, her family had already been brought to safety using a jet ski owned by a friend of Ara Mina’s boyfriend.

Richard said that some may call his act as one either borne of recklessness or heroism, but for him it was “just a matter of helping (someone) out.”

According to the National Disaster Coordinating Council, tropical storm “Ondoy” (international name, “Ketsana”) triggered the worst flooding seen in 40 years.

Reports say that at least 75 people from all over Luzon were killed by the rising floodwaters and its effects.

Lady GaGa live concert in Philippines

Pop star Lady Gaga  had a concert in Manila, Philippines at the Araneta Coliseum on August 11, 2009 which entitled as "Lady Gaga The Fame Concert in Manila".
The Hollywood singer behind worldwide hit songs Just Dance, Poker Face, Love Game and Paparazzi among others  came to Manila, Philippines for a one night concert experience both for her and her increasing number of Filipino fans.

Pedicab performed as a front act of the night, people went crazy and thought that the show will start, everyone ran into the front row of the VIP section and then later on, the bouncers controlled the crowd and let everyone sit on their designated seats.  In an instant of minutes, the coliseum was full and packed with fans and concert goers.

a big projected counted in the white cloth and a short film of Lady Gaga entitled "Candy Warhol" is playing, then Lady Gaga come up on stage from the right side, carrying some props with her dancers.

Paparazzi was the first song of the night

She pause for a moment and stands on the stage for minutes, giving time for the camera paparazzi took photos of her.

At first, some thought that having Lady Gaga performing in Araneta is bad, they got this impression that her music style is not fitted tot the venue, because everyone will be dancing while watching. But then they was wrong, Araneta is a perfect venue and they are not open minded at first about her music, Lady Gaga is not for dance music only, and can be level for RnB, rock, metal, pop, and dance.

She performs with a heavy metal band, the guys play so hard banging their heads, with long hairs and rocker attitude.Everyone raise their hands and dance, and people showed their disco stick during the Love game performance. She always take time to talk to the audience and it was fun to see her talk and do this funny comedic moves. She also said that there are many beautiful people in Manila.

Love to see her play the piano and do this exhibition of spreading her legs and placing it on top of the piano keyboard and plays.. yeah.. she even plays the piano with her feet on top.

as she said from her twitter

"Just headlined my first arena ALONE, after opening for years. Thank you manila, never forget u. Luv my fans so much, u r the reason I'm here"

At the end of the concert, everyone shouted "we want more!" but then we Lady Gaga and her crew took a nice bow after it, everyone shouted and clap, but then no encore is seen.Lovely, fun, enjoyable, wacky, she looks like a barbie doll, and the night is so full of lights, dance, females and cameras. Its a great event and fun experience, Lady Gaga did well in entertaining people and wow with her talent and performance.

"The Country-pop Sweetheart Taylor Swift"

On September 13, 2009, during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, singer/rapper Kanye West came on the stage and took the microphone from Swift during her acceptance speech for winning Best Female Video for "You Belong with Me", saying that Beyoncé's video for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)", nominated for the same award, was "one of the best videos of all time". This caused the audience in the venue to respond negatively. He handed the microphone back to a stunned and reportedly upset Swift, who did not finish her acceptance speech.West was removed from the remainder of the show for his actions. When Beyoncé later won the award for Best Video of the Year for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)", she called Swift up on stage so that she could finish her acceptance speech. Following the awards show, West apologized for his verbal outburst in a blog entry (which was subsequently removed). He was criticized by various celebrities for the outburst, and by President Barack Obama in an "off the record" comment. He later posted a second apology on his blog and appeared on The Jay Leno Show one day after the incident, apologizing publicly.

On September 15, 2009, Swift talked about the matter on The View. Asked what she was thinking the moment it happened, she stated, "Well, I think my overall thought process was something like, 'Wow, I can't believe I won, this is awesome, don't trip and fall, I'm gonna get to thank the fans, this is so cool'", she said, and that she further thought, "'Oh, Kanye West is here. Cool haircut. What are you doing there?' And then, 'Ouch.' And then, 'I guess I'm not gonna get to thank the fans.'"In addition, she said that West had not spoken to her following the incident.Following Swift's appearance on The View, West contacted her to apologize personally; Swift said she accepted his apology. The night of the awards show, Swift became the first country music artist to win an MTV Video Music Award.

Even by the standards of the anything-goes MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye West's hijacking of country-pop sweetheart Taylor Swift's speech at the Sunday night ceremony was particularly brutal.

The pre-show buzz had focused on the highly anticipated tribute to the late Michael Jackson, but West's disruption stole the spotlight.

A giddy Swift was in the midst of her acceptance speech for Best Female Video when the often-mercurial West rushed onstage, grabbed her microphone and let loose an outburst on behalf of singer Beyonce Knowles, who had lost out in that category.

But audiences who stayed tuned until the end of the broadcast were treated to a touching bookend: Knowles, the night's top winner, invited Swift onstage and gave the teen singer her moment in the spotlight.

"I remember being 17 years old, up for my first MTV award with Destiny's Child, and it was one of the most exciting moments of my life," Knowles said, referring to the girl group with which she had her start. "So I would like for Taylor to come out and have her moment."

Speaking to reporters later, Swift was understated about her take on the disruption.

"I was excited to be onstage because I just won the award. And then I was excited that Kanye West was onstage. Then, I wasn't excited anymore," she said.

Corazon C. Aquino

Corazon Aquino and Democracy in the Philippines.

Corazon C. Aquino
(Born- January 25, 1933)
Seventh and First Woman President of the Republic of the Philippines
(Term: February 25, 1986- June 30, 1992)

Corazon Aquino was a political leader and president from (1986 to 1992) of the Philippines.

In 1983 she succeeded her husband and senator, Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. as leader of the opposition to then president Ferdinand Marcos. Aquino was assassinated in the same year at the then Manila International Airport following his arrival from the US where he stayed for seven years.

No one could have imagined that Mrs. Aquino would become president, the first woman to lead the country after Marcos was ousted in a military-backed popular revolt that she spearheaded in 1986. When Marcos called for a presidential election in February 1986, Mrs. Aquino became the unified opposition's candidate. Although she was officially reported to have lost the election to Marcos, Aquino and her supporters challenged the results, charging widespread voting fraud. High officials in the Philippine military soon publicly renounced Marcos’ continued rule and proclaimed Aquino the Philippines rightful president. On Feb. 25, 1986, both Aquino and Marcos were inaugurated as president by their respective supporters but that same day Marcos fled the country.  Mrs. Aquino has been diagnosed with colon cancer early in 2008 and has been confined at the Makati Medical Center for more than a month. Mrs. Aquino, widow of Senator Benigno Aquino Jr., will be remembered as an icon of democracy, having led a military-backed popular revolt in 1986 that ousted a dictator who ruled the country for 20 years.

At about 5 a.m. outside the hospital, Noynoy read a statement announcing the death of his mother.
The statement read:"Our mother peacefully passed away at 3:18 a.m., August 1, 2009, of cardio-respiratory arrest. President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo expressed her condolences to the family of the former President, Arroyo's press secretary said. The President is set to declare a week of national mourning, said Press Secretary Cerge Remonde in a live phone patch from the US where he is accompanying Arroyo who is on official visit there

Mrs. Aquino, who became recognized worldwide as an icon of democracy after millions of people against the Marcos administration placed her in power during the 1986 EDSA revolution, earlier received prayers for her recovery from US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Pope Benedict XVI. US Ambassador Kristie Kenney said she delivered Clinton’s personal letter to Mrs. Aquino’s family Thursday, and later attended a healing Mass for the 76-year-old democracy icon. In Vatican City, the Pope expressed his “spiritual closeness” to Mrs. Aquino after learning of her condition from Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, according to an article posted on the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) Web site.

Corazon C.Aquino a hero and one of the greatest president live.

World Top 10 Highest-Paid Actresses

Im just curious about this who is the actress that has highest earning salary in hollywood. Here are the Following:
1. Reese Witherspoon ($15-$20 Million/Movie)
Reese Witherspoon took a hit with the box-office flop "Rendition" but looks to get back on track with the 2008 romantic comedy "Four Christmases."
2. Angelina Jolie ($15-$20 Million/Movie)
Angelina Jolie took a pay cut to $8 million for her role in "Beowulf," which butchered the competition at the box office.
3. Cameron Diaz ($15+ Million/Movie)
Diaz collected her largest payday to date, snaring $30 million for her voice role in "Shrek the Third."
4. Nicole Kidman ($10-$15 Million/Movie)

The pride of Australia did not have a career year in 2007. "Invasion" failed to conquer the box office and "Margot at the Wedding" underperformed as well.
5. Renee Zellweger ($10-$15 Million/Movie)
Zellweger can still bank off her "Bridget Jones" work and she helped herself with the buzz around this year's "Bee Movie." Next up Zellweger will appear in George Clooney's football romantic comedy "Leatherheads."
6. Sandra Bullock ($10-$15 Million/Movie)
Sandra Bullock will always have the "Speed" and "Miss Congeniality" franchises to draw on and this allows the actress to take on riskier roles like the reclusive Harper Lee in "Infamous" and she will appear in "All About Steve" with co-star Thomas Haden Church.

7. Juilia Roberts ($10-$15 Million/Movie)

Julia Roberts' recent time off to be a mom has hurt her bankability, but there is no denying she is still among the Hollywood elite. Roberts will return to the screen in Universal's "Charlie Wilson's War."

8. Drew Barrymore ($10-$12 Million/Movie)

Drew Barrymore impressed with her vocals alongside Hugh Grant in "Music and Lyrics." She also commands millions more with savvy producing choices, including "He's Just Not That Into You."

9. Jodie Foster ($10-12 Million/Movie)

Jodie Foster's latest film "The Brave One" exceeded box office expectations and Foster's additional role as executive producer bolstered her earnings. Foster typically takes a project a year but her latest hit films "Inside Man" and "Flightplan" prove the star is worth the wait.

10. Halle Berry ($10 Million/Movie)

Halle Berry's stunning performance in the little-watched "Things We Lost in the Fire" reminded viewers why she has a statue. Next up, Berry will team up with Billy Bob Thorton in "Tulia."
